If you've been reading [info]davidlubar 's blog, you know that his traveling woes are enough to bring a south pole scientist to their knees...conditions are BAD in the south pole! Anywho, I came up with an idea to help him, one that will most likely get me a long stint in either limbo or eternal damnation where it's hot and I get constantly poked with sharp implements. But for any higher power's sake I can't just sit by and do nothing. My first impulse was to go and drive him myself, but I no longer have my mini van since I gave mine to Son#1 and cannot buy another one until I sell a book (HA!), so this is what I came up;
The Saint Christopher carrying David Lubar in comfort and safety medal-

Whatever your beliefs, I think you can all get behind good 'ole Saint Christopher and help David get to where he is going safely, comfortably, on time and well-fed. So snag this off my blog and put it on your blog, spread it around, if we get a lot of medals out there maybe Kharma and fate will jump on board and carry David through?
That's my theory at least.
David-stride confidently into that sunset my friend, we'll pulling for you!

Here I am after ages and ages - i am sooo tired these days what with baby and all... how are you???? That picture reminded me of a story I read when I was little about the original christofer and the meaning of his name "I carry Christ"...

So then this would be "Davidofer"? lol! I don't know if you know David Lubar, but the man seems to need a little assistance to travel safely.

I can imagine you're tired, babies will do that. Lucky for us and them that they are really cute when they smile. I'm good, thank you for asking. I'm going to a writer's intensive this Saturday, so that should be productive. How are doing? Besides the baby wearing you out that is ;)

I used to collect Saint Christopher medals. Someone told me he's just a myth. I love the medals anyway (and keep them in my car!)

Well, I guess the catholic church de-sainted him too. But I think the medal offers comfort. I think that items like that focus positive energy towards a positive goal. Any therapy like that is a good thing.
